Frank’s an accomplished Silicon Valley technology and business lawyer with broad experience handling a full range of legal matters including commercial transactions, technology licensing, securities law compliance, corporate finance, litigation management, and HR matters. He began his legal career at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati, then joined a client as in-house counsel and went on to serve as general counsel for four different companies, shepherding them through major transactions, disputes, investigations, and other matters, while overseeing sales and licensing programs, SEC and regulatory compliance, corporate maintenance, and IP protection. Now he’s enjoying the opportunity to use his accumulated expertise to provide top-tier but very high-value legal services to a variety of interesting companies.
A Northern California native, Frank attended the University of California, Davis for a bachelor’s degree in Economics, with an unofficial minor in Computer Science. After working for PG&E for a few years, he went back to UC Davis for a law degree. Many years later, he still feels he learns something new every day.
Frank lives in Palo Alto, where he enjoys the ability to walk in to downtown for a rev-up coffee or wind-down happy hour. He’s an enthusiastic cyclist and skier and a reluctant runner. He also participates in “orienteering” (map and compass racing – check out baoc.org if you’re intrigued)
Frank cares about protecting civil liberties (particularly those sometimes abused by the criminal justice system) and preserving privacy rights. Take a look at innocenceproject.org and eff.org.
