After three years in Silicon Valley law firms (Fenwick & West, Graham & James), Harry went in-house and has served a variety of successful companies such as NEC, Siebel Systems, Sega, Safeway, Flextronics and GoodData over the last nearly 30 years. Through these global entities and working with his JD Counsel clients, he has gained extensive insight and expertise negotiating software license, support, professional services, SaaS/PaaS and other cloud-based agreements.
This expertise has enabled him to develop a constellation of cloud based start-up clients as well clients in the payments processing, manufacturing, transportation, identity management, energy products, and bioinformatics spaces. Over the last seven years, Harry has also advised and supported clients in their data security, data transfer and privacy obligations in light of both GDPR and CCPA as well as assisted clients with their data processing agreements and other data-related compliance strategies.
Clients most appreciate Harry’s decisive and insightful management of complex matters, and his ability to find creative solutions to overcome the most challenging contract hurdles.
Harry graduated magna cum laude from the American University, Washington D.C. with degrees in Political Science and International Relations (1988), and received his Juris Doctor from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (1992). He has been a member of the California Bar since 1993.
Harry lives in Lafayette, CA with his wife and daughter. He enjoys traveling and eating at the many great Bay Area restaurants.
